 Diemersfontein Wine & Country Estate
Diemersfontein is known for its beauty, informal elegance, and grace - an idyllic wine estate only 45 minutes drive from Cape Town and is situated near the Cape's famous Wine Routes.

We warmly invite you to share with us the tranquil spirit of Diemersfontein - whether you are conferencing here, marrying here, staying for a few days of leisure (or even permanently) - or taking some of it home in a bottle!

Diemersfontein has belonged to the Sonnenberg family since the early 1940s, when David’s grandfather, Max, bought the 183 hectare farm, which lies in the shadow of the majestic Hawekwa Mountains with a panoramic view of both Du Toit’s Kloof and Bains’ Kloof.

Visitors to South Africa's Western Cape will discover a warm welcome and a tranquil and gracious setting at Diemersfontein Wine and Country Estate. Be our guests and stay a while in our guest house accommodation set against a backdrop of some of the most dramatic views in the Cape winelands.

Instructions on how to reach the property
Approached from Cape Town, the most pleasing route is as follows: Take N1 north until you reach Exit 47, the R44, which you follow in the direction of Wellington for 28 kms. Do not turn off this road. Keep on the R44 until you come to a T-Junction - the sign will indicate Wellington to the left and Paarl (R301) to the right. Turn right and drive downhill for approximately 1 km. You will see the signs to Diemersfontein on your left.
